Unless a pet is specifically approved on your lease, pets will not be allowed at the property without prior approval from Collins Gregory Real Estate, after consultation with the property owner.
To have a pet in a rental property in Queensland, you must request written approval from the property owner or manager using the approved form.
Please note that in some unit complexes, Body Corporates may not allow pets.
If you are thinking about getting a pet, you should first discuss the matter with your Property Manager. The process should be a collaborative one between you as tenants, your Property Manager and the owner of the property.
How to Request Pet Approval
- Use the Correct Form: Complete the RTA’s ‘Request for approval to keep a pet in rental property’ (Form 21).
- Provide Details: Include information about the type of animal, its size and weight and any other information helping in reviewing the application.
- Submit the Request: Email through your request form to us at hello@collinsgregory.com.au
