Spring Mountain is a true home among the trees. It is situated just 29 kilometres from Brisbane.

Being a part of a planned community established in 2000, a lot of thought has been put into developing and delivering on what the residents might want or need with nothing being overlooked.

Spring Mountain is set amongst beautiful bushland and lakes. There are 23 hectares of lakes and creeks, some of which provide opportunities for canoeing and kayaking – all a part of Greater Springfield.

The suburb also features larger, family style homes, great local schools and plenty of places to enjoy recreation. Each area of Springfield Lakes provides for easy walking access with plenty of safe to walk pathways. This certainly makes it easy if you prefer to walk, rather than drive.

The multiple parks spread throughout Springfield Lakes are ideal for meeting with friends for a picnic or outdoor birthday celebration. Most of the outdoor parks are well lit at night, providing opportunities to celebrate into the evening.

Springfield Lakes is serviced by a number of doctors, dentists, specialists and allied health professionals, helping to ensure that your health needs are well met.

Greater Springfield offers a range of options for school-aged children, including public and private education providers and P-12 or segregated junior and senior campuses including Springfield Lakes State SchoolSpringfield Central Primary SchoolSpringfield Central High SchoolGood Shepherd Catholic Primary School and Augusta State School.

The recently built Springfield Central train station, accessible easily from the Orion Shopping Centre, provides a smooth commuting experience into Brisbane City of about 40 minutes. This is a significant improvement upon the previously experienced 1 hour and 20 minutes bus and train ride combination of the past.

The Orion Shopping Centre is the primary shopping centre located in Springfield Lakes. Here you will find all of your shopping needs, including Coles, Woolworths and ALDI. There is also an Event Cinemas and growing indoor and outdoor dining precinct, providing both healthy and wicked food options (we’re thinking ice-cream from Baskin Robbins and churros from San Churro!).

Springfield Lakes is also home to the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) Springfield Campus, and the Mater Private Hospital.
